SCOUTED Pro

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 8 July 2026

1. Who We Are

SCOUTED Pro is operated by SCOUTED GROUP LTD, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is 175 Wokingham Road, Reading, England, RG6 1LT.

SCOUTED GROUP LTD is the data controller for personal data collected through SCOUTED Pro. This means we determine how and why your personal data is processed.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at pro@scoutedftbl.com.

2. What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal data when you subscribe to or use SCOUTED Pro at pro.scoutedftbl.com.

It covers:

  • Personal data you provide when subscribing or creating an account.
  • Data collected automatically when you use the SCOUTED Pro website.
  • How we use that data, who we share it with, and how long we keep it.
  • Your rights under UK GDPR and how to exercise them.

This policy does not cover the editorial website at scoutedftbl.com, which operates under a separate privacy notice.

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Data you provide to us

When you subscribe to SCOUTED Pro, we collect:

  • Your name.
  • Your email address.

We do not collect postal addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal data at signup. Payment details are collected and processed directly by Stripe and are never stored by us.

3.2 Data collected automatically

When you visit pro.scoutedftbl.com, we collect limited technical data via Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. Plausible tracks aggregate data such as page views and referrer sources. No individual user profiles are built.

Ghost, our publishing platform, may set functional cookies necessary for login and session management. These are strictly necessary cookies and are not used for tracking or advertising purposes.

3.3 Data we do not collect

We do not collect or process:

  • Special category data (health, ethnicity, political opinions, etc.).
  • Data relating to children.
  • Payment card or banking details (handled entirely by Stripe).
  • Any data beyond name and email at the point of subscription.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes:

To fulfil your subscription. We use your name and email address to create and manage your SCOUTED Pro account, deliver monthly editions, and communicate with you about your subscription. Our lawful basis is the performance of a contract.

To send service communications. We use your email address to notify you about subscription renewals, payment issues, changes to these Terms or this Policy, and other essential service information. Our lawful basis is the performance of a contract and legitimate interests.

To manage complimentary access. Where we grant complimentary access based on your email domain, we use your email address to verify eligibility and manage that access. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.

To improve the Service. We use aggregated, anonymised analytics data from Plausible to understand how the SCOUTED Pro website is used and to improve it. No individual user data is used for this purpose. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.

To comply with legal obligations. We may process your data where necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal proceedings. Our lawful basis is compliance with a legal obligation.

We do not use your personal data for marketing to third parties, profiling, or automated decision-making.

5. Cookies

5.1 What cookies we use

SCOUTED Pro uses a minimal number of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party marketing cookies.

Strictly necessary cookies. Ghost sets session cookies to keep you logged in to the SCOUTED Pro website. These are essential for the site to function and cannot be disabled without affecting your ability to access member content. They do not collect personal information and expire when you close your browser or log out.

Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies. Plausible collects only anonymised, aggregate data and is fully compliant with UK GDPR, PECR, and CCPA without requiring a cookie consent banner.

5.2 Managing cookies

Because we only use strictly necessary cookies and a cookieless analytics tool, there is no cookie consent mechanism on the SCOUTED Pro website. If you wish to block or delete the session cookie set by Ghost, you can do so via your browser settings, though this will log you out and prevent access to member content.

6. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share your data only with the following third-party service providers, each of whom processes data on our behalf for the specific purpose described:

Ghost. Our publishing and membership platform. Ghost stores your name, email address, and subscription status, and manages your login and access to SCOUTED Pro content. Ghost acts as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement with us. Ghost is GDPR-compliant and maintains its own privacy and security documentation.

Stripe. Our payment processor. Stripe collects and processes your payment details to handle subscription billing. We do not receive or store your payment card data. Stripe is PCI DSS compliant and operates under its own privacy policy.

Zapier. We use Zapier to automate certain membership management tasks, including processing new subscriber data to assign the correct access level. Zapier may temporarily process your name and email address as part of these automated workflows.

Outpost. We use Outpost to manage certain aspects of subscription access, including domain-based team access. Outpost processes your email address and subscription status in connection with these functions.

Plausible Analytics. We use Plausible for website analytics. Plausible does not process personally identifiable information and does not use cookies. No personal data is shared with Plausible.

We may share your data with additional third-party tools in future. Where we do, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify active subscribers.

We may also disclose your data where required to do so by law, regulation, or court order.

7. International Data Transfers

Some of our third-party service providers may process data outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or equivalent mechanisms, in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.

Stripe operates globally and has appropriate data transfer mechanisms in place. Ghost is based in the United States and operates under standard contractual clauses. Zapier is US-based and similarly operates under appropriate transfer mechanisms.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your subscription remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter for administrative and legal purposes.

If you cancel your subscription, we will retain your name and email address indefinitely unless you request deletion. This allows us to restore access if you resubscribe and to maintain records for legal and accounting purposes.

Right to erasure. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at pro@scoutedftbl.com. We will action deletion requests promptly, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain records.

9. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

As a data subject under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:

Right of access. You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Right to rectification. You may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

Right to erasure. You may ask us to delete your personal data, subject to certain legal exceptions.

Right to restriction. You may ask us to restrict processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.

Right to data portability. You may request your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Right to object. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. We will cease processing unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.

Right to withdraw consent. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at pro@scoutedftbl.com. We will respond within one calendar month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we have not handled your data in accordance with UK GDPR.

10. Data Security

We take the security of your personal data seriously. Access to subscriber data is restricted to authorised personnel and service providers only. Our third-party providers — including Ghost and Stripe — maintain industry-standard security practices.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security and accept no liability for unauthorised access resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If you believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately at pro@scoutedftbl.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify active subscribers by email at least fourteen (14) days before the updated Policy takes effect.
